I have been working in Financial Services almost my whole career, starting with Barclays Bank in 1989 shortly after leaving school and spending 11 years learning the ropes from collecting the post right through to managing the local West Swindon Branch in the mid 1990’s. It was at Barclays I discovered my passion for financial advice, in particular mortgages and I haven’t looked back since.

At the turn of the Millennium a change of scenery was needed so I was keen to take the next step into the wider world of becoming a whole of market mortgage adviser. It was a stroke of good fortune and timing that Marcus was looking to appoint a dedicated Mortgage Adviser to broaden the range of services available through Ottaways Financial Advisers.

Since then, I have taken great pleasure in advising and assisting clients from all walks of life to achieve their mortgage goals and have subsequently broadened my scope of advice to full financial planning including investments and pensions as well as protection cover should the worst ever happen.

Outside of work I enjoy taking in the fresh air of long walks with the dog and forcing myself to the gym……. allowing myself time to indulge in some fine food and drink.
